Dubai Based Creatives Collab with Nike
Nike Celebrates 30 years of Airmax throughout the month of March. Nike Middle East has invited creatives from the region, dubbed “Revolutionairs” to design artwork, highlighting the heritage of Air. The iconic Airmax continues to be part of the growing sneaker epidemic and art culture within the region. The commissioned artists are Rami Afifi, Rollan Rodriguez and Dina Saadi.
Rollan Rodriquez jumped at the opportunity to design the box of the Air Max1 OG, as he wanted to tell his story through his work. His design was inspired by the heritage of the shoe and his memory of the first Airmax received as a child. Rollan drew parallels between his old artistic style and the history of the shoe, while integrating new modern techniques to emphasize the fresh relevance of it till today.

Dina Saadi pushes boundaries with everything she does. She is a fan of Japanese culture and nature, so designing the box for the Air Max Atmos was a perfect fit for her style. Her work resulted in an art highlighting the Japanese heritage behind the sneaker.
Rami Afifi, is a diehard sneaker head, specializing in character design, which is evident in his outrageous, creative work. He designed art work for The Airmax 1 Master, and the Nike Air Vapormax. His work creates strong connections to the heritage of Nike, pop and local culture.
The Nike Air VaporMax will be released on Air Max Day, 26, March 2017, at Mall of the Emirates. Air Max day celebrations will kick off 6-9pm at MOE and will include meeting the artists, Nike Run Club House, shoe cleaning services, T-shirt customization and gait analysis services.
