A collaborative exhibition project with a focus on subcultural fashion, music and art.
Gorky Park, Moscow
FACES&LACES interactive, open-air exhibition project held at Gorky Park, returned this year presenting the concept of ‘SUBCULTURE COOPERATION’. The event, which took part 18th-19th August, generated over 350’000 visitors during the two days, accompanied by big brand names including Nike and JBL.
Main participants at the event included big and small sportswear brands, distributors, retailers, famous Russian and foreign designers, artists, art-groups and communities. Each of which present exclusive projects and content for visitors, with the exhibitions SPEEDSHOP zone, by DreamCarsTrue, showcasing over 40 classic motorcycles and automobliles that had been preserved from their original form.
Nike, Youtube Music and Vans were amongst over 75 brands that participated this year, which also included local Moscow brands VOLCHOCK, WHITECROW and Mech. Customization stations operated by G-Shock, Nike BOX MSK and Levi’s Tailor Shop saw over 3'000 visitors create their own designs, enabling them to freely interact with the exhibitions concept.
The main stage, and partnered venues, hosted Californian band, The Garden, and up-coming New York hip-hop artist, Princess Nokia, as well as over 60 local acts. In addition to this, FACES&LACES held an official night event at UK.KO, powered by Burn, and headlined by legendary base musician LOEFAH.
For the first time, FACES&LACES presented their own official capsule collection, consisting of a long sleeve tee, a t-shirt and a cap, which were all designed in-line with the visual graphics and style of the exhibition. The team additionally curated a customized metro card in collaboration with the Moscow Metro, proving hugely popular amongst the local visitors.
FACES&LACES continue to educate audiences of the latest achievements in modern local and global culture, where fashion, contemporary art, sports, music can intersect and cooperate.
