The first summit saw over 1500 people, including local celebrities
and socialites, walk away inspired by the energy and creativity of this global movement.
Our highlights included The regional premier screening of the “The Mystery of Flying Kicks” short film , local poster art ,vinyl toys and local hiphop and graffiti.

This year’s event, themed ‘The Art of the Sneaker’ will be part convention, part street party and was set to be even bigger.Drawingin a crowd of 4000+ th, Highlights of a breathless day included a live demonstration by the world’s number one sneaker customizer Alex Nash; the Puma Creative Factory and T7 Activation; the introduction of Nike Running  and Sneaker-head Hunt Middle East, a New Era ‘Artist Series’ Exhibition; an exclusive screening of the heavily anticipated ‘Rap Arabe’’ hip-hop documentary; live graffiti and performances from international & local artists, bands and DJ’s, sneaker culture inspired art & photography exhibitions; skate park championships and not forgetting the impressive collections showcased by individuals from around the Middle East.

There were slots up for grabs for the Sole Dxb summit where  visitors or sole locals could get a shot at customising their own, For the occasion  Puma  teamed up with UAE designers like  Zayan Ghandour,Emperor 1688, Tahir Sultan, Essa, Michael Cinco, Ezra, Furne One and Hatem Alakeel to create couture versions of their iconic T7  jackets as part of their ‘Built for One’  40 year anniversary campaign.Needless to say we had to give you a peek .  enjoy a look at the compelling designs and the and inside look at the workshop.

We were invited to be part of an exclusive PUMA Creative Factory T7 Workshop. Where we combined  materials and chose different add ons and colors to come up with something special. Should receive mine any day now, check the blogs for updates if you wanna see results.

Well, if I’m honest, the whole thing kind of started by accident. As a long time designer, I was looking for a personal project that would give me a chance to get back into illustration. I’ve been a sneakerhead as long as I can remember, so I decided to illustrate every pair of shoes I ever owned.After finishing that, I took my favorite shoe of the bunch, the AirMax1, and I began illustrating it in a different way each day. I began to explore, illustration, photography, design and most importantly, ideas. How many ways could I think of to interpret this one object? It became a playground for all my influences and ideas.
My favorite part of the project though, is that now, after all the work is done, I get to show it to you. All those late nights, doubts and moments of unexpected inspiration, you now hold in your hands. No more puzzled looks as I try to explain that I’m “drawing the same shoe 100 times.”

It had been reported  by reputable sources that a price increase in the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ and Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ would be on the way for the Holiday 2012 season. We have just learned first-hand from Jordan Brand that the yesterday’s news isn’t quite the case; the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ (November) will stay at a retail price of $160, while the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ will increase by only five dollars to an MSRP of $185. This news is certainly a sigh of relief for many sneakerheads out there, and we’re happy to be able to confirm that those prices won’t see that drastic increase after all. This news should have a lot of people resting easier, so let us know what your thoughts are now that Jordan Brand has cleared the air.

We wanted something cool, contemporary, artistic, made of resin, culturally relevant, with a nod to sneaker lifestyle in the Middle East.
